The INET Series STS2 Astronic No-Break Transfer Switch provides un-interrupted transfer between two sources of 3-phase power serving a critical load. The key to its remarkable performance is the instan-taneous detection of abnormal line condition, which initiates the transfer to the secondary source, all in less than 2 milliseconds! No cross-connect of the two sources can occur.
These units reflect the INET Power experience of three decades of UPS and specialized power equipment. The critical detection and status scenario is developed without the need for microprocessor hardware, making the unit’s basic functions immune to the effects of lightning and other power strikes (that are usually the cause of many power failures in the first place). The Astronic no-break transfer switch represents the simplest and most reliable design in the industry while providing transfer up to ten times faster than competing units of higher cost and greater complexity. The unit is available in standard 3-phase ratings from 100 to 1000A. Single-phase units and voltages higher than 600V are also available for special order. Each unit is complete with two bypass switches and optional manual or automatic selection of a third preferred source.
